A Little About Me
My name is Thomas Downs, and I’m an 18-year old New Yorker running for Mayor of this beautiful city. I’m running because I believe that the politicians in this city need to work for the people. And I want to work towards the betterment of this city for all.
Growing up in the era of the Me Too movement, the realities of climate change, facing the truth of police brutality, and watching the city struggle with a global pandemic has convinced me that the politicians in New York are not looking out for the people of this city and are devoid of conscious or moral values.
I have lived in this city my entire life, born and raised, and I love it. I am ready to change the face of politics here in New York, and I need your help to do it. I am running as an independent because we need solid bipartisan efforts to effect the changes that will benefit us. I will fight for environmental reforms, small business support plans, and aiding low-income communities as your Mayor. I am eager and ready to serve the people of New York.
