Public Housing 

Our public housing provides a valuable service to many New Yorkers, but the lack of accountability to serve New Yorkers living in public housing needs to change. Under my administration, we will see:

• A Mayor who would live in our public housing in every  borough at least three months out of the year

• A Mayor would host bi-weekly meetings at different public housing complexes to ensure that everyone is heard

• An investment in more maintenance personnel to work on outstanding work orders

• Improvements to our buildings to prevent:

  • Power Outages ​

  • Elevator Breakdowns 

  • Loss of Heat 

  • Loss of Water ​

• And investing towards:

  • Removing lead from paint and pipes

  • Better lighting 

  • Cleaning up buildings and the surrounding area
